Society to Promote one Humanity is a peace-centered initiative based in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It works to encourage understanding, reduce division, and create practical spaces for respectful dialogue before, during or after times of conflict among communities, corporations, and wider social groups.
Society's Purposes
To pursue the achievable goal of creating a world free of all weapons of mass destruction and hearts free of violence, by inculcating amongst humanity at large, the vision of Ramanlal Vasantlal Desai described in his book Bharelo Agni (Smouldering Fire), translated into English by Nurdin M Kassam.
To develop strategies and platforms for people across the globe to join hands to achieve a peaceful and loving world under the banner of One Humanity.
This society is a member-funded initiative, supported primarily by its members to carry on activities for their benefit.
The Dream
A vision of a world free from all weapons of mass destruction and hearts free from violence, a dream inspired by the work of Ramanlal Vasantlal Desai and carried forward through generations.
"The only way to eliminate violence is to make the world free of all weapons of mass destruction and our hearts free of violence."
What began as the aspiration of a young boy has grown into a shared purpose, to spread this idea, one person at a time, across communities and nations.

An important part of the history of the Society was the book that inspired a young boy from Mpwapwa, Tanzania, a dream for a world free of weapons of mass destruction and violence in human hearts.
